In September of 1998, bass player Dan Schwarz and drummer Ben Larsen began laying a foundation for a new band. After writing a handful of tunes they invited singer Chrisopher Blue to play, and the three clicked. The only thing that was missing was a guitar player. Fortunately, Ben and Dan had an old band mate named Sanjay Sharma who was on his way back from Sweden and returned to Seattle in January of 1999. The four started writing tunes and named themselves Big Gun Project.
Ben, Dan and Sanjay were in a band together for five years called Inertia prior to working with Chrisopher. Chrisopher sang for Sub Pop band Ten Minute Warning and his own project called Ventilator.
Big Gun Project is an energetic rock band driven by a solid and dynamic rhythm section. The guitar adds an unusual and innovative texture while supporting the unquestionable talent of Chrisopher Blue.
